Beautiful Beer Award
The Reindeer Inn has achieved gold standard in the pub industry’s Beautiful Beer Awards.
The Gold Award shows that the pub has passed a rigorous assessment of its beers, from the cellar to the glass. To win the award specially trained inspectors carried out a thorough audit of the pub, from the storage of beer in the cellar through to the pouring of the beer behind the bar.
The Gold Award recognises the pub serves great quality beer- both draught and bottled, says Beautiful Beer spokeswoman Ros Shiel.

A warm, welcoming and relaxing pub, it also sells mulled and fruit wines. There is a popular lunchtime menu of home-cooked food available. The pub wins awards for its flower displays and has a courtyard for summer drinking. Chess and Aunt Sally can be played.

The Reindeer Pub dates back to the 15th century and probably offers the best pub food in the market town of Banbury. Tables near log fires are particularly popular during the winter months. A fine range of local ales, wines and excellent spirits compliment a fine menu.

The atmospheric inn is of great local historic importance. Oliver Cromwell held court in the pub, arranging future battles. There are high beams, wooden floors and benches and the famous Globe Room, the paneling of which was held at the Victoria and Albert museum until 1946 and has now been returned.
